Please use the links above, under Testimonials, to view the stories of a few parents who have used therapies, ABA, and/or biomedical interventions and the progess their child has made.
Many parents make reference to an "ATEC score" when discussing their child's improvements. The ATEC (Autism Treatment Evaluation Checklist) is a parent/caregiver survey that can be taken online. Once completed, a score is given between 0 - 180. The higher the scroe, the more symptomatic the child. Although not a diagnostic tool, in general:
103 - 180 = Severe Autism
30 - 102 = Moderate Autism
11 - 29 = Mild Autism
0 - 10 = "Recovered"/Managed Recovery
Many parents retake the ATEC test at various intervals to guage whether the most recent intervention(s) has caused improvement, regression, or no change.
The ATEC test can be found HERE.
